CAMP INFORMATION

Each camper will work with experienced staff including Cyclone coaches and players, as well as college and high school coaches. Training sessions include the latest in volleyball techniques and fundamental training. Each camp will have daily game play to enhance team skills and sportsmanship. Campers will receive a volleyball (with exception of team and satellite camps), water bottle (with exception of satellite camp), and all campers will receive a t-shirt.

FACILITIES: Sessions are held in the Hilton Coliseum,Lied Recreation Center and the Forker Building on the Iowa State campus.

HOUSING: All resident (overnight) campers are housed, two to a room, in the Residence Halls on the Iowa State campus. Room assignments will be made in advance. If you have a roommate preference, write the name of that person during online registration in the designated area. We cannot guarantee a roommate request, but will make every effort.

MEALS: All meals will be provided for residential campers. Commuter campers will be provided with lunch and dinner where applicable, but will be responsible for their own breakfast.

WHAT TO BRING: Volleyball shoes, t-shirts, shorts/spandex, socks, knee pads, alarm clock, towels, soap, and shampoo. The dorms are air-conditioned and provide bed linens, blankets and pillows. You may bring extra food, but refrigerators are not provided.

There will be a camp store set up to purchase Cyclone Volleyball t-shirts, sweatshirts, and shorts.

REQUIRED PAPERWORK:  To participate in camp it is required each camper print the Release and Medical Authorization form and bring with you to camp!

The release and the treatment authorization must be signed by a parent or guardian if student is under 18 years old. Students who are 18 years old or will become 18 years old before the end of the camp/clinic must also sign. In order for students to participate in camp activities, we must have this form prior to the camp’s start date. Otherwise, parent or guardian must be contacted prior to release to participate.

RELEASE & MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS:  After the camper has registered, a confirmation email will be sent out to each camper within 48 hours.  It will include check-in information, a release & medical authorization form, and directions.  If you have lost this email, it can be found under "Confirmation Information" on the website's homepage. If you did not receive this email, please contact Michelle Aggen to make sure you are registered. (Confirmations are not sent out for Team Camps, please check with your high school coach if you have registration questions.)

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: Up to seven days before the camp you registered for begins, you may receive 90% refund (10% administrative charge) in the event of illness, injury, or family emergency.

From six to one day before the camp you registered for begins, you may receive 50% refund (50% administrative charges) in the event of illness, injury, or family emergency.

Once the camp you registered for begins, there is no refund in the event of illness, injury, or family emergency.

The parent/guardian’s personal or injury insurance policy will be utilized as the primary insurance for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization of illness or injuries incurred during the sports camps.
