2015 Cyclone Volleyball Camps

Description:  This camp is designed to teach the volleyball skills to players in grades 1-8.  This is a fun camp that introduces campers to the basic skills of volleyball. Campers will be separated based solely on age, not skill level. This is an evening camp. 

 All Skills Camps

All Skills Cardinal Dates: June 19th - 21st RESIDENT COMMUTER

All Skills Gold Dates: July 14th - 16th Resident Commuter

Cost: RESIDENT: $310; COMMUTER: $225
For: Grades: 8 & up.
Check In: Campers with last names beginning with A-L check in from 11:00am-11:45am
                 Campers with last names beginning with M-Z check in from 11:45am-12:30pm
Times: Day 1: 1:30pm - 8:00pm Day 2: 9:00am - 8:00pm Day 3: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Description:  These camps have a format that caters to all positions of volleyball. During certain sessions, players will be divided up by position to work on specific position skills (outside hitter, middle hitter, setter, etc). During alternating sessions, players will be put on a team according to age and skill level and work on playing in a team format as well as practicing all the various skill sets included in the game of volleyball. The All Skills camps are great for beginners, as well as challenging to more experienced volleyball players. Cardinal and Gold are the same format camp offered on two different dates.

Setter/Libero Camp

SETTER CAMP
Dates: July 8th - 9th
Cost:  $210 Resident; $165 Commuter
For: Grades 5 & up.
Check-in: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Times: Day 1: 1:30pm - 8:00pm; Day 2: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Description:  This camp is designed to give each player individual instruction on the setting position.  Campers are instructed on hand position, footwork, tempo and accuracy of sets.  Drills give campers many touches on the ball with some game-like situations included. Campers are divided according to age/skill level. Beginning setters will learn the fundamentals they must acquire for their development.  More advanced setters, in addition to fundamentals, will also work on decision making and strategy.

LIBERO CAMP
Dates: July 9th - 10th
Cost:  $195 Resident; $150 Commuter
For: Grades 5 & up.
Check-in: 4:15pm - 5:15pm
Times:  Day 1: 6:00pm - 8:00pm; Day 2: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Description: Come learn from the program known for training liberos!  This camp focuses on passing and defense and is helpful for any player, from beginners to elite level liberos, looking to improve their ball handling skills.  Drills are fast paced and will address both specific technique and game like play. 

SETTER/LIBERO CAMP
Dates: July 8th - 10th
Cost:  $355 Resident; 265 Commuter
For: Grades 5 & up.
Check-in: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Times: Day 1: 1:30pm - 8:00pm; Day 2: 9:00am - 8:00pm; Day 3: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Description:  This camp is designed to give each player individual instruction on setting, passing, and defense.  Campers will spend the first half of camp on setting and the second on passing and defense. Drills used give campers many touches on the ball with some game-like situations. Campers are divided according to age/skill level.  All levels are welcome.

Team Camps

Dates: 
     Team Camp Cardinal: July 27-28
     Team Camp Gold: July 30-31
Cost:  $65 per camper
Time:  Check in: 8-9am.  Day 1 & 2: 9am-12pm; 1:30-5pm
Description:  This camp is designed to give teams a head start to the volleyball season. This is strictly a competition camp with competitive drills vs another team on Day 1 and a tournament format on Day 2.  We will have a camp coach on each court to run drills, officiate, and provide feedback.

**No meals or housing will be provided for Team Camps.
**Hotel information can be found on our website (Local Hotels & Restaurants tab)
**There will be no hotel supervision or transportation provided by camp staff.
**You will need to bring a CART and BALLS for your team.
