Frequently Asked Questions

What Should I bring to camp?

Volleyball shoes, t-shirts, short/spandex, socks, knee pads, alarm clock, towels, soap and shampoo. The gym gets hot so you might go through more than 1 shirt per session. The dorms are air conditioned and provide bed linens, blankets and pillows. You may bring extra food, but dorm rooms do not have refrigerators. You may want to bring money for snacks at night. We will also be selling Cyclone t-shirts, shorts and sweatshirts.

What if I can only attend part of a camp?

If you can only come for part of a camp we would still love to have you. Contact Jesse Klein 515-294-9465 jklein@iastate.edu to check to see what the pro-rated rate would be. We would only pro-rate it if you were to miss 2 or more sessions.

What is the player to coach ratio?

We will guarantee a 10:1 ratio. Almost all courts will have 12-14 campers per court with 2 court coaches.

What is your refund policy?

Administrative commitments require a $100 nonrefundable deposit. Should a camper leave a camp due to injury or illness, the camp fee is nonrefundable. If the camp fee is paid in full and an application is withdrawn 7 days or more before the start of camp, you will receive a refund less the $100 deposit. No refunds will be issued within 7 days prior to the first day of camp.

Are parents allowed to come and watch?

Our camps are always open for parents to come and watch. There is some room on the baseline of each court for parents to watch – bring your own chair!

Where should we park?

Parking is available in Lot 63, which is right by the dorms and about a block away from the Forker Building. The Forker Building parking lot is Lot 50A and is free after 5:30 p.m. and on weekends. Lot 100 is across the street from the Forker Building and is a pay lot. Be sure to check lot signs for parking restrictions.

Where do the campers eat?

We will have all meals catered into Forker.

Will there be a trainer on-hand?

There will be a trainer at all of the sites for all of the sessions.  There will also be a trainer in the residence halls.
