Cyclone Volleyball Camps
Camp Information
Each camper will work with experienced staff including Cyclone coaches and players and college and high school coaches. Training sessions include the latest in volleyball techniques and fundamental training. Each camp will have daily game play to enhance team skills and sportsmanship. Campers will receive a volleyball (with exception of team and satellite camps), water bottle (with exception of satellite camp), and all campers will receive a t-shirt.
FACILITIES
Sessions are held in the Forker Building, Beyer Hall and Lied Recreation Center on the Iowa State campus.
HOUSING
All resident (overnight) campers are housed, two to a room, in the Residence Halls on the Iowa State campus. Room assignments will be made in advance. If you have a roommate preference, write the name of that person during online registration in the designated area.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Administrative commitments require $100 of camp fees as nonrefundable. Should a camper leave a camp due to injury or illness, the camp fee is nonrefundable. If an application is withdrawn 7 days or more before the start of camp, you will receive a refund less $100. No refunds will be issued within 7 days prior to the first day of camp.
HEALTH AND INSURANCE
The parent/guardian’s personal or injury insurance policy will be utilized as the primary insurance for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization of illness or injuries incurred during the sports camps.
IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS
After the camper has registered, a camper packet including directions, a release form, and check-in information will be emailed to each participant. If you do not receive an email within 48 hours upon submitting your registration, please contact Jesse Klein at 515-294-9465 or jklein@iastate.edu.
Note: Completed and signed release forms must be on file to participate. No exceptions will be made. A physician’s signature is not required on the medical form if a copy of a recent physical is attached. The physical must be dated within one year of the camp.
MEALS
All meals will be provided for residential campers. Commuter campers will be provided with lunch and dinner where applicable, but will be responsible for their own breakfast. Meals will be catered.
WHAT TO BRING
Volleyball shoes, t-shirts, shorts/spandex, socks, knee pads, alarm clock, towels, soap, and shampoo. The dorms are air-conditioned and provide bed linens, blankets and pillows. You may bring extra food, but refrigerators are not provided. There will be a camp store set up to purchase Cyclone Volleyball t-shirts, sweatshirts, and shorts.
