Cyclone Volleyball Camps
Camp Details
Each camper will work with
experienced staff including Cyclone coaches and players and college and high
school coaches.
Training sessions
include the latest in volleyball techniques and fundamental training.
Each camp will have daily game play to
enhance team skills and sportsmanship.
Campers (with the exception of team and satellite camps) will receive a
volleyball, and all campers (except for satellite camps) will receive a t-shirt
and water bottle.
FACILITIES
Sessions are held in the
Forker Building and Beyer Hall on the Iowa State campus.
HOUSING
All resident (overnight)
campers are housed, two to a room, in the Maple-Willow-Larch Residence Halls on
the Iowa State campus.
Room assignments
will be made in advance. If you have a roommate preference, write the name of
that person during online registration in the designated area.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Administrative commitments
require $100 of camp fees as nonrefundable. Should a camper leave a camp due to
injury or illness, the camp fee is nonrefundable. If an application is withdrawn 7 days or more before the start of camp,
you will receive a refund less $100. No refunds will be issued within
7 days prior to the first day of camp.
HEALTH AND INSURANCE
The parent/guardian’s
personal or injury insurance policy will be utilized as the primary insurance
for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization of illness or injuries
incurred during the sports camps.
IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS
After the camper has
registered, a camper packet including directions, a release form, and check-in
information will be
emailed to each
participant.
Note: Completed and signed release forms must be on
file to participate. No exceptions will be made. A physician’s signature is not
required on the medical form if a copy of a recent physical is attached. The
physical must be dated within one year of the camp.
MEALS
All meals will be provided
for residential campers.
Commuter
campers will be provided with lunch and dinner where applicable, but will be
responsible for their own breakfast.
Meals will be a combination of catered and dorm meals.
WHAT TO BRING
Volleyball shoes, t-shirts,
shorts/spandex, socks, knee pads, alarm clock, towels, soap, and shampoo. The
dorms are air-conditioned and provide bed linens, blankets and pillows. You may
bring extra food, but refrigerators are not provided. There will be a camp
store set up to purchase Cyclone Volleyball t-shirts, sweatshirts, and
shorts.
